Year Established 1977 Founder Dr. S. B. Mujumdar

Symbiosis Law School, established in June 1977, was affiliated in the beginning to University of Pune. Further, the important stride was made in 2002 when SLS became the constituent college of the Symbiosis International University. Thereby, SLS gained an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research.

Certificate Programs
There are nine certificate programs which include the Certificate in European Legal Studies and Certificate in Securities Laws, among others.

Internationalization
Symbiosis Law School is a core partner in the global network of legal institutes, the Erasmus Mundus, DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) – a grant for bilateral exchange with Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany, membership of International Association of Law Schools (IALS), USA, Asian Law Institute, Singapore and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).

SLS is one of the endeavors of Symbiosis International University, which has traveled a long way to achieve its goal of being one of the topmost Law colleges and is proud to have become the alma mater of various legal luminaries.

Symbiosis provides a fertile ground for the flowering of the potentials of not only being an efficient lawyer but also a true cosmopolitan and responsible contributor to universal jurisprudence by encouraging close interactions between students, scholars and thinkers from across the country and the world. At the same time, we take care that young minds entering our portals are provided with all necessary guidance and moral virtues.

Our team at SLS is highly dedicated towards its objective of making Symbiosis a better place for national as well as international students.

In today's transcending world, the function of education has changed from teaching to learning which casts a mutual responsibility upon the institution as well as students to make education that cannon loaded with power and progress.
