the necessity of cultural competency. Addressing these areas is crucial for

implemented in July 2025, ensuring that officers possess a thorough
understanding and can accurately apply these legal frameworks. The rapid
proliferation of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence,
robotics, drones, and the escalating threat of cybercrime, necessitates a
significant overhaul of the training curriculum to equip officers with essential
digital skills and literacy. Recognizing the immense pressures associated with
policing in the Indian context, providing robust mental health support, readily
accessible resources, and effective stress management training is of utmost
importance.
Bolstering community relations and fostering greater public confidence remains a
vital objective, requiring enhanced training in community engagement strategies,
cultural sensitivity, and effective de-escalation methods tailored to the Indian
