I am originally from a very small town named Katwa in West Bengal, I was 3 years old when my parentsdecided that I should be living in Kolkata with my maternal grandparents and start studying in the city as there were no good English medium schools in the village. I being too young obviously didn’t understand the sacrifice I was ready to make at that point of time, and was just excited about living with my grandparents who has been the most loving and supporting set of 'parents' one could have and all they wanted for me was to not feel inferior in front of my cousins who were born and brought up in the city. Since the year 2002, I have been living in Kolkata. In my school life I was never a bright student and I am still not one, but I always had the urge to learn more and more, starting from activities like playing synthesizer to learning about intellectual property rights and Company Law. I have been waiting to be an advocate since the age of 16, even though I had no background in law, the subjects and classes that I took for my CLAT exam, really gave me the urge to learn more about this area. As I said I have never been a bright student, I didn’t get through a National Law School, not being from law background I didn’t have an idea that how important it was for me to get through a National Law school, and maybe that was the reason I was too reluctant to work hard. Studying in a private law school for 5 years has really made me understand the importance of working hard and how seeking the right opportunities at the correct time can help me achieve my goals in life. I am currently in the last year of my college and I am looking forward to work hard and seek all the opportunities and accomplish my goals.
