May I introduce myself as a self-driven enthusiastic person working as a Trainer for Indian
Democracy participation and social change at CMR University Bangalore.
Teaching has always been my passion and My vision is to motivate my students to develop
their own learning interest and critical thinking and at the same time to establish the learner-
centred environment in the classroom. During my graduating period, I was fortunate enough
to have an opportunity to conduct sessions for undergraduate students at SDM Law College
and Canara College, as a result I prepare lesson plans which consider interconnection
between the student's own knowledge, culture and learning abilities.
In my opinion, out of the book knowledge is the perfect complement to classroom learning
and a way to help students learn, think and also compare the text books materials with the
current Sicario. The application of technology and computer-based material in the classroom
are very helpful tool for a meaning full learning and I believe teaching and research should go
hand in hand.
I choose content that is both significant and challenging for the students so
they are stimulated to think beyond their comfort zone and feel involved in
their own learning process. Collaborative learning is also central to my
teaching philosophy in order to promote reflective thinking. I believe the key
element in helping students is 'Open Communication'. I
look forward to working in a collaborative learning and teaching environment with both
faculty and students.
