I am Anushka Singh, a student of law. I am from the coal capital city
Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
I have completed my Higher Secondary from Carmel School, Dhanbad with 89.6%
marks and my Senior Secondary from Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Dhanbad with
96.2% (Commerce).
From the time I started understanding the subjects taught in school, I was very
much inclined towards the business group subjects which were also the reason for
me to take up Commerce while I was in Senior Secondary.
While I was in the school, I participated in various co-curricular activities
which included performing dance, singing, sports, quizzes, and debate
competitions.
It was one such debate competition where I had to research certain aspects of
law that I got interested in the legal field and hence, the day I decided to
pursue law in future.
After completing my 12th, I got admission in New Law College, Bharati
Vidyapeeth, Pune in the BBA LLB 5-year integrated course programme.
In college, I have studied diligently the subjects of Business Administration
and Management as well as law.
I am the Student Representative of the Legal Aid Cell and the NSS Unit of my
college. I have successfully organized several programs, camps and launched
initiatives under the Cell and NSS Unit. I have been the editor of a special
women's day issue called Today's Women: Nation-builders which was inaugurated by
Hon'ble Mrs. Rekha Sharma, the Chairman of National Women's Commission and by
our college Dean & I/C Principal.
