I am an Advocate. I did my Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Manchester, the United Kingdom and my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A., LL.B.) from the Army Institute of Law, Mohali.

I am passionate about legal research and writing on topics related to Human Rights. During my tenure as a student of LLM at the University of Manchester, I developed my interest in legal research by writing assignments that included two research papers titled:

  • Laws governing the rights of the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) community in the United Kingdom, India and Germany: An analysis with relevant issues and
  • Kashmir: An ongoing problem between India and Pakistan along with possible solutions

In addition to non-assessed coursework. Such kinds of assignments involved intense original academic legal research by referring to authentic sources such as legislations, case laws, books and articles in newspapers and legal journals, along with critical analysis and writing creatively. Writing on topics related to Human Rights facilitates me to spread awareness regarding issues plaguing society in general, particularly due to the involvement of politics in excess.

Additionally, it also helps me in making observations in the form of possible suggestions and recommendations for the steps to be taken to address the problems pertaining to the violation of basic human rights and civil liberties to promote equality, fairness and justice, taking into consideration the occurring event or chain of events concerned.

As a result, based on my in-depth analysis of the instance, the possible suggestions and recommendations provide a platform to pave the way for egalitarianism, humanitarianism and libertarianism by eliminating discrimination on various grounds depending on the instance. Furthermore, my experience in legal drafting and content writing has also helped me.
