Neha Joglekar

I am Neha Anil Joglekar, A final year law student (TY Gen. LL.B) studying at Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law. I am a strong multi potential with a degree of Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University / D. G. Ruparel College. I have completed my H.S.C. from D. G. Ruparel College by securing 86.15%. I have done my schooling from S.P.S. Suvidyalaya with 94%.

My initial plan was to become a Chartered Accountant, but over a period of time in that process I realised me inclined more towards law, as one of my subjects was law. After my graduation I entered into this field of law because of my emerging interest in the same.

Unfortunately, because of the pandemic I didn't get the opportunity to experience the physical lectures apart from my first semester. Sadly, my moot court competition in which I had participated was also held online.

The pandemic had again hampered our opportunities to do internships in different areas of law. I did manage to do 2 online internships which involved legal research and article writing. At present, I am interning at an IPR firm Shailendra Thatte & Associates. I have been working here since February 2021.

I hold a keen interest in Intellectual Property Rights and in this firm, I am getting to learn a lot of things which are related to my area of interest. I have done some certification courses relating Intellectual Property Rights such as General Course on Intellectual Property (by WIPO), Masterclass on Intellectual Property etc. Apart from this I have also done courses of fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Integrated course on Information Technology and Soft Skills from ICAI etc.

Because of our new 60-40 pattern which has been included in our Law syllabus, we have to submit assignments for each subject every semester. Which has inculcated the practice of article writing in me. I thoroughly enjoy the process of researching and article writing.
