I am Sheetal Mishra, a final year LLB student. I have done BSc. Statistics from
Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College, Mumbai. I have done my schooling (1-8 Class) in Hindi medium from a village in Uttar Pradesh. I came to Mumbai in 2012 because there was no scope for further studies in my village and took admission in Prabhadevi Municipal School in Hindi Medium only. I scored 92% in my 10th in 2014 and that year this score was highest in Mumbai in Hindi Medium.
After 10th I took science as my field, being from Hindi medium it was very difficult for me to compete with the other students who had done their schooling in English but as time passed, I started doing better and score 72% in 12th. During my graduation I was scoring good but I never felt connection with the subject (statistics) because it was not connected with any social aspect and it was always around numbers. In my second year of graduation, I realised that I need to do something which is more related to people, society and various issues related to society.
I went for career counseling and they suggested me two, three fields as journalism, Law, etc but I found legal field more interesting so I chose law for me and it became a major decision for me, I topped in every semester and that boosted my confidence and I realised that I can do much better in a field which relate to social issues. Currently, I'm also preparing for UPSC examination with law as my optional.
This website has very good weightage if provided as reference in any research paper or college assignment. I always wanted that my article should also be on this website so that it can reach to people. I send my article on Offences Related to Women in Indian Penal Code and that got published on the website, so thank you very much for accepting my article. I look forward to send more articles on topics which can educate people and make them aware of various laws which are provided for their protection.
