Priyancka Sarrda

My name is Priyancka Sarrda. I am a first year law student of the 3 years LLB programme at OP Jindal Global University. I have completed my graduation in mass media from Jai Hind college in Mumbai. I got to work on many interesting projects and got a valuable opportunity to make a documentary and interview ministers for my project on Ganga Pollution.

Studying in mass media has made me more aware and sensitive about what is happening around and I have developed analytical approach to things happening around me. I took journalism as a specialisation in my third year and was introduced to interesting subjects like television which helped me learn facts about the trade.

I was a subject topper in legal studies and theatre studies in class 12 CBSE board exams. Law was somewhere at the back of my mind hence I chose to pursue law after graduation in media. My hobbies include many like dancing, playing sports like tennis and badminton. I am a beginners level certified belly dancer. In my first year in the first semester of law school, I interned at Sandip Agarwal and company in kolkata which was a great learning experience for me.

I got to know new facts about the law and gain real time experience of lawyer's work and law as a profession. There were new laws that I got introduced to which I wasn't aware of earlier. I am eager and determined to learn stuff and try to grasp things as much as I can. I like to interact and meet new people and have good communication skills. I received internship at Khaitan and company in kolkata and consider it a very valuable and important opportunity for myself. I hope to learn and gain insight about corporate law and learn materials about law as a profession that will help me in future.
