Child Abuse And Pornography

We, the modern generation of 21st century is living in an all-correct world where nothing is wrong. Everyone has their own justification for committing a crime or a sin. And in this era where nothing can be claimed to be absolutely wrong we give rise to evil lurking in our minds making this society unsafe. The worst thing about evil thinking is that it can easily be hidden from the society by a smooth layer of pseudo goodness.

There is no doubt about the universal truth that children are the future building blocks of our society. Children are considered the epitome of goodness, truth and loyalty. But the sad situation prevailing in this modern world highlights the two disturbing evils of our society namely, child abuse and pornography. The latter being the very root of the evil tree of child abuse.

Pornography is digitalising and uploading graphically explicit content on the internet through the medium of videos. These videos feature actors and actresses who perform sexually appealing acts that draws attention of the viewer. Under the act of making such videos it is clearly stated that such videos should have age restriction but internet is a wide ocean open for all to jump in and once the user jumps in it is upto his own free will whether the user wants to make the best use of it or enter into a world full of evil things.

Pornography has attracted a large number of teenagers during the last few years. According to a survey about 85.2% teenagers use porn to spend their leisure time. Teenagers take it as a source of sex education which is necessary but the way in which it is provided is unlawful. These films providing a visual effect to the teenagers limits their imagination to a small extent and deteriorates their thinking skills.

Pornography has a great impact on the biological functioning of our body. While watching such videos our body generates various sexually active hormones which gives our body extra energy and compells our mind to think about such graphically explicit scenes. People usually develope a habit of semen ejaculation while watching such videos which causes the following harmful effects to our body:
  • Weakening of eyesight
  • Dizzines
  • Anger issues
  • Lowering down the strength
  • Limiting the imagination to a small extent.

Above all these harmful effects to a human body a person suffers from lack of concentration, stress and sometimes depression too Pornographic films have always been made to watch by viewers who have some desires and these desires most of the time are not just fulfilled by virtually viewing other people. Infact, they gives rise to a feeling of bringing virtuality to reality which forces people to do the same as they see in these sexually attractive movies. Such videos keep on instigating sexual desires in a person's mind.

Teenage is definitely an age where the blood is hot and is ready to make mistakes at any point of time. It is the age when our hormones become sexually active and our mind races towards such non conventional content. Parents should take it as a sign when their children develope the habit of keeping things to themselves and start using the mobile phone for longer durations in the night or any time of the day.

The thing that surprises us the most is that not only adults but children are also persuing this act of watching sex related content on the internet at a speed which has surpassed the adults doing it. In today's World, every 1 in 10 Kids Under 10 years of age haa seen porn.

New research from the security technology company Bitdefender, has reported children under the age of 10 now account for 22% of online porn consumption under 18 -years old.

It is quite surprising that children are being so much addicted to such things at such an age where the only things they need to know is studies and playing. Giving your child the right knowledge about sex is indeed very important, but the child seeking the desired knowledge in his or her own way from various sites showing such content is definitely a matter of concern.
Most parents make it a point in their life to discuss about such things with their children so that the child knows the difference about good touch and bad touch.

Human race has always been a race of endless desires. We achieve what we want by hook or by crook. A person being addicted to such movies try to search for a companion of an opposite gender to fulfill his or her desire and when he or she is not able to find a companion their inner fiend pushes them to a limit of frustration when they start to force a person of opposite gender to fulfill their desire and this gives birth to another demon of the society, sexual abuse having direct connection with pornography.

Sexual abuse is a heidous act of compelling a person to develope sexual relations with him or her without their prior consent. This is often called molestation. The person who compells is the sexual abuser. Sexual abuse has been a very common day to day crime in our advanced society where only 35% cases are reported, rest remaining hidden under the curtains of shame and family prestige usually due to anthropophobia.

Such vast and impossible to escape are the clutches of sexual abuse that it has slowly crossed all the boundaries of sin and has added the word child too as a prefix to the two words making it child sexual abuse.

The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food and customs differ from place to place within the country. Indian culture, often labeled as an amalgamation of several cultures, spans across the Indian subcontinent and has been influenced by a history that is several millennia old. Many elements of India's diverse cultures, such as Indian religions, philosophy, cuisine, languages, dance, music and movies have a profound impact across the Indosphere,

Greater India and the world. The people in India regard "sex" as a very private matter which is not to be discussed in an open place or with anyone. People find it embarrassing while discussing upon it. Similarly, talking about "sex" in India to their children is as rare as finding greenery in the Thar desert. Parents don't teach their kids that where a person is not supposed to touch them as a result of which children are being sexually harassed by people and they don't even realise that something very wrong has happened with them.

Due to the fear of being scolded, many children do not even tell their parents of the trauma they go through all alone and continue to live in their misery which further results into a number of unspoken words of pain.

Merely a thought of being sexually harassed causes our mind to lose its peace . It is such a disgusting act that no one should fall prey to it be it a woman or a man, and adult or even a child. Sadly enough, India reports a thousands of cases throughout the year about being molested and the worst thing about them is that many a times its the member from one's own family who does such an act of dishonour.

A thousand times such things are ignored considering the shame it would cause if other people would come to know about it.

In the recent past, we've heard innumerable stories of how children are being molested just for the sexual satisfaction of an adult. The brutal murder cases of zenab and asifa still bring tears in our eyes as we think about the pain they must have went through. The sufferings of the families of such victims is also unexplainable. We cannot even measure the amount of pain and rage the mothers of these two daughters must've been through and are still continuing to suffer.

Child abuse doesn't only come in the form of sexual abuse but also in various other forms. The other common form is negligence.

Child neglect is the failure of a parent or other person with responsibility for the child, to provide needed food, clothing, shelter, medical care, or supervision to the degree that the child's health, safety or well-being may be threatened with harm. Neglect is also a lack of attention from the people surrounding a child, and the non-provision of the relevant and adequate necessities for the child's survival, which would be a lack of attention, love, and nurturing.

Some observable signs of child neglect include: the child is frequently absent from school, begs or steals food or money, lacks needed medical and dental care, is consistently dirty, or lacks appropriate clothing for the weather. The 2010 Child Maltreatment Report (NCANDS), a yearly United States federal government report based on data supplied by state Child Protective Services (CPS) Agencies in the U.S. found that neglect/neglectful behavior was the "most common form of child maltreatment "

Every child needs to be loved. Children have a young mind which requires learning but in a gentle and kind way not by beating the innocent child which will only make him stubborn and rude.
