My name is Shaista Waseem and I am from Lucknow. Currently I am pursuing law and I
am in my third year of LL.B (hons).
Since my school days, I have always been interested in law. When I did an extensive
research about the details of the options , I realized that doing a LLB (hons) course would
be more beneficial as the course covered all aspects of law and a law graduate can easily be
able to explore all the potential fields which captivate their interest.
I would describe myself as a resilient, determined, enthusiastic, dedicated, and analytical
lawyer who has ample experience in the field of legal writing and research. During my last
summer break I went on to complete an internship of qualifying legal work experience at a
local law firm through which I got my first freelancing work by which I learnt a lot about
the art of legal research and writing.
During this time, I developed the necessary
researching capabilities, interpersonal skills, and knowledge to become a competent and
effective legal author. Outside of work I keep myself fit and active which means I am
always alert, attentive, and ready for new challenges.
Further, identifying myself as a first-generation lawyer has largely shaped my unique
perspectives and aspirations. I understand how it feels to be without opportunity and go
above and beyond when an opportunity arises. I take great pride in persistence, diligence,
and empathy. This is why I am captivated to study law and its diversity as a tool to shape
my unique perspective toward life.
In the near future, I am aspiring to pursue Judiciary. Legal profession demands immense
hard work and wittiness to deal with situations and while handling cases. The importance
of the judiciary in our country cannot be discarded. And the need for people with good
knowledge of the legal system and intention of staying true to oneself has been there since
ages. I as a person have always had an in
