The present matter has been taken up for hearing by way of Video Conferencing on account of COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a habeas corpus petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with section 482 of the Cr.P.C. by the petitioner praying for the following reliefs:
  1. Issue a writ of habeas corpus or any order or direction in the nature of habeas corpus, thereby directing all the respondents to produce the said son of petitioner namely Virender before this Hon'ble Court; and
  2. Pass any other or further order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in facts of circumstances of the case, in favour of the petitioner.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel (Criminal) appearing on advance notice on behalf of Delhi Police states that they shall produce Mr. Virender Kumar, the petitioner's son, before this court in the forenoon session tomorrow i.e. 17.09.2021.
